Afra Jalabi is a great Arab-Canadian journalist as well as peace advocate. She was born in Damascus, the capital of Syria in 1970 and was brought up in Germany and Saudi Arabia. Afra Jalabi is a Muslim author, lecturer as well as a journalist. She was the previous president of the McGill University Muslim Students Association. Presently, she is writing for the Saudi famous daily news paper Al Yaum. She is a part of the publication leading group of the Journal of Law and Religion at Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota. Formerly, she wrote in as a weekly writer for Al-Jadeedah magazine in the city of London and wrote regarding on social culture, literary and artistic subjects.
Ms. Jalabi completed her Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and Political Science from famous McGill University in Montreal. But she holds her Master’s degree in the subject of Journalism from Carleton University in Ottawa. Afra Jalabi gave a lot of importance on developing resources of Islamic philosophy of peacefulness based on close analysis of the Meccan and Medinan period. Her research approach is nonviolence against Islamic philosophy. Before immigrant Canada Jalabi was raised in Syria, Germany and Saudia Arabia. She has speech out about her theories in Canada for the very last few years. Still now she is writing for the whole of the Muslim world.
